Often represented by the media, low-wage migrant workers in Singapore lack the opportunity to speak for themselves.
Familiar Strangers is a platform that bridges the gap between Singaporeans and migrant workers. Stories of their passion, hobbies and life were posted in the form of first-person accounts on our Facebook and Instagram page across a span of 3 months, essentially revealing that at the end of the day we are all working to create a better life for ourselves and our loved ones.
The campaign was also featured on The Washington Post, The Huffington Post and AJ+ after our ‘Migrant Workers Respond to Comments Made by Singaporeans’ video went viral.

Some of which have even made its way online, sparking conversations and debates on social media and the Internet. But have we ever wondered how the workers would react to these comments when they see them?
